Today we’re discussing 5 Best Practices for Taking the most exceptional Care of your Lash Extensions… take note!
First thing you want to do to take the best care of your lash extensions would be
1 – Keep Them Clean: The best way to maintain your lash extensions clean is by using a lash extension secure cleanser. Cleansers which are specially formulated for cleaning your extensions:
Oil-Free Liquid Remover and Oil-Free Gel Remover. Gentle, oil-free and alcohol-free eye makeup removers have the identical pH balance as natural tears and come in a liquid or gel formula. For cleaning your eye area to remove makeup and eyeshadow, we recommend applying the cleaner into a cotton pad.
Make sure to saturate the cotton mat because the cotton can catch on your lashes. Very gently rub on your eyelid and avoid rubbing your lashes. When you need to wash your lashes, then use your lash wand and brush through your lashes.
2 – Omit Oil Based Products: Any skin care products, lotions or cosmetics which are oil based are a ‘no-no’ as it pertains to lash extensions. Make certain to pick products which are labeled oil-free to ensure the longevity of your lashes. And if in doubt — always read the label of components to make certain what you’re using is oil free.
3 – Wear No Mascara (or very-very little): The beauty of lash extensions is that you’ve got beautiful, long, full lashes without needing to wear mascara. We are aware that some women may still need to wear mascara on occasion, and that is okay as long as it is a lash made for lash extensions.
However, wearing no mascara at all is better in regards to extending the life span of your lashes. If you must wear mascara, make sure ONLY to wear a water-based mascara, which isn’t the same as waterproof mascara. Finally, when applying your lash extension secure mascara, only use one coat and apply to the tips of your lashes.
4 – Avoid Over Exposure to Moisture: Too much moisture continuously isn’t great for your lashes. But daily washing of the face and activities like swimming are lash extension secure.
5 – Maintain Refills Often: All of the hints we’ve mentioned are so very important, but this one is possibly the most important! Sticking with your refill appointments every two weeks will keep your lashes looking their absolute best.
The longer you wait to get a fill, the tougher it’s for your lash stylist to maintain your lashes looking fantastic and full. If you go too long with no lash refill, an entirely new set may be required. Thus maintaining your refills is a fantastic idea in more ways than one!
